RBI President is Named Business Person of the Year

Regional Builders, Inc. is pleased to announce that our company president, Joan Neal, was named the Western Sussex Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year at their 2023 Holiday Awards Celebration on November 9, 2023.
 



8th Annual RBI Charity Golf Tournament Reaches a New High!

The 8th Annual Regional Builders Charity Golf Tournament was held on Friday, May 19 at Hooper's Landing Golf Course in Seaford, DE.  We were able to raise a new high of almost $25,000 for our two very deserving charities, Nanticoke Young Life, giing guidance to at-risk youths  and the 12 & 12 Community Center, a meeting place for 12-step addiction recovery groups. 
RBI would like to thank golf pro Mike Connor and staff all for their hard work.  We also owe a HUGE thanks to all the players, sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible.

Friday, May 20th was a great day for the 7th Annual Golf Tournament.  Warm weather and a light breeze had evryone enjoying the first peek of summer.  Thanks to the 30 teams and many sponsors, Regoinal Builders was able to raise over $20,000 for the two designated charities - Nanticoke Young Life and the 12 & 12 Community Center.

RBI Office Closing for the Holidays

The Regional Builders, Inc. office will close at 11AM on Thursday, December 23rd for the company Christmas party.  The office will remain closed for the holidays and will reopen at 8AM on Monday, January 3, 2022.

RBI Holds Annual Christmas Party

The employees of Regional Builders gathered on December 23rd for their annual Christmas party.  Company President Joan Neal presented One-Year Service Award Pins to project manager Jack Braughler and erection crew member Kevin Harrold.  The annual cornhole tournament was won by the team of Joan Neal and erection crew member Ricky Vega.  Other activities included lunch, a Chinese gift exchange and the Christmas Ball Game where each player had to put on any wearable gift that came out of the ball.

4th Annual RBI Charity Golf Tournament Results & Pictures

May 17th was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for the 4th Annual Regional Builders Charity Golf Tournament. We appreciate the hard work of Mike and the staff at Hooper's Landing who had everything looking great around the course.
 
This year's tournament benefits two charities.  The first is Nanticoke Young Life, which has been a beneficiary for the past few years.  Nanticoke Young Life is a 501c3 interdenominational youth organization that builds bridges of fellowship with teens witht he goal of providing positibe mentoring relationships win their lives.  This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today, based upon God's love for them, will have an impact on future decisions - careers chosen, marriages formed and families raised - all ripples from the time when a Young Life leader took time to reach out and enter their world.
 
The second charity is Steps for Hope (also a 501c3) and its 12 and 12 Community Center.  The mission of Steps for Hope is to provide meeting space to foster expansion of self-help groups relating to addiction of all types.  It is said the most important part of recovery is introduction to 12-step groups for support relative to a person's specific addiction.  Meetings are vital for recovery as contacts are made to offer mentoring for the newcomer.  Steps for Hope established the 12 & 12 Community Center so that 12-Step groups in the Western Sussex County area will have a steady meeting place to futher their recovery from addiction.

4th Annual RBI Charity Golf Tournament Scheduled

The fourth annual Regional Builders Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Hooper's Landing Golf Course in Seaford, DE.  The annual tournament has raffles, special contests such as hole in one, putting, longest drive and closest to the pin.  
 
This year's tournament will benefit Steps for Hope for the New 12&12 Community Center and Nanticoke Young Life.
 
Steps for Hope is a new 501c3 whose mission is to provide meeting space to foster expansion of self-help groups relating to addiction of all types.  It is said, the most important part of recovery is introduction to 12 step groups for support relative to a person’s specific addiction.  Meetings are vital for recovery as contacts are made to offer mentoring for the newcomer.
 
In honor of this organization, we have added a new sponsorship – the Red Ribbon Sponsor.  The Red Ribbon is worn as a symbol of commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction caused by substance abuse in America.  This new sponsorship allows you to celebrate, honor or memorialize a loved one, friend or co-worker who was affected by this devastating epidemic.

One Service Pin Awarded for 2018

Regional Builders, Inc. staff celebrated Christmas together with a luncheon.  RBI Chairman/CEO Bob Boyd awarded comany president Joan Neal with a 20-year service pin. 
The annual cornhole tournament was spirited as usual.  With the retirement of three-time winner, Terry Wilkerson, it was anyone's guess which team might win the tournament this year.  In the end, the team of Alan Dail, project manager and Isabel "Chip" Morales, erection crew member took the victory.

Days of rain caused the Regional Builders 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament to be postponed to the rain date, Monday, May 21.  Mike and the rest of the staff at Hooper's Landing Golf Course worked hard to get the course ready.  It was a beautiful day with temperatures around 80.   Thank you to everyone who played, helped or donated.

RBI Project Manager to Retire in April

A surprise retirement party was held on March 24th for Regional Builders project manager, Terry Wilkerson.  Terry has been with the company for 14 years and will officially retire on April 6th.  Coworkers, family members, contractors and clients gathered to wish Terry well as he starts the next chapter of his life.

The Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce recently featured Regional Builders, Inc. as their business of the month in celebration of thee business's 20th anniversary.
 



OC Worship Center Groundbreaking - November 2017

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sunday, November 19th for the new OC Worship Center. The new 19,000 square foot facility will include a sanctuary, classrooms and offices. Regional Builders will serve as the Construction Manager for the project set to begin in the coming weeks.
 
 



2017 RBI Charity Golf Tournament was Hot! - May 2017

Temperatures soared into the 90s on Friday, May 19th for the 2017 Regional Builders Charity Golf Tournament, but that didn't stop the fun! This year's tournament benefits two charities, Young Life Nanticoke and Heroes Haven.
Nanticoke Young Life is a 501c3 interdenominational youth organization that builds bridges of friendship with teens with the goal of providing positive mentoring relationships in their lives. This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today, based upon God's love for them, will have an impact on future decisions - careers chosen, marriages formed and families raised - all ripples from the time when a Young Life leader took time to reach out and enter their world.
Heroes Haven is a Sharptown, Maryland based 501(c)3 that honors our nation's heroes by bringing them to the Delmarva Peninsula for sporting events such as hunting, fishing and NASCAR. They offer opportunities for our wounded military, police and firemen to get away from the hospital or their current post location and visit the beautiful Eastern Shore for rest, relaxation and recreation. RBI VP Barry Neal to Participate in High Heel Race - May 2017

Regional Builders Vice President of Field Construction, Barry Neal will participate in Mel's Race for a Cure, an all-male high heel race on Friday, May 5th at 7PM. The race will be held as part of the Live for Chocolate event in downtown Seaford. 8 to 12 teams of men will be racing to raise money for women who are unable to afford their breast cancer screenings.
 



Annual Golf Tournament Returns! - Event Date May 19, 2017

Regional Builders, Inc will once again host a charity golf tournament at Hoopers Landing Golf Course in Seaford, Delaware. The tournament is scheduled for May 19 and will benefit two deserving local charities, Nanticoke Young Life and Heroes Haven.
Nanticoke Young Life is a 501(c)3 interdenominational youth organization that builds bridges of friendship with teens with the goal of providing positive mentoring relationships in their lives. This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today, based upon God's love for them, will have an impact on future decisions - careers chosen, marriages formed and families raised - all ripples from the time when a Young Life leader took time to reach out and enter their world.
Heroes Haven is a Sharptown, Maryland based 501(c)3 that honors our nation's heroes by bringing them to the Delmarva Peninsula for sporting events such as hunting, fishing and NASCAR. They offer opportunities for our wounded military, police and firemen to get away from the hospital or their current post location and visit the beautiful Eastern Shore for rest, relaxation and recreation.

RBI Celebrates Christmas - December 2016

The Regional Builders, Inc. staff celebrated Christmas with their annual Christmas Luncheon. Service Awards were presented to company CEO Bob Boyd for 20 years of service and to Corporate Secretary Kim Wheatley for 15 years of service. Once again, the party included a cornhole tournament. Teams were chosen randomly. The team of Terry Wilkerson and Chip Morales were victorious. As always, the party completed with a spirited Chinese gift exchange, where several presents changed hands as the game progressed.
 



RBI Erection Crew Goes Fishing - October 2016

Immanuel House of Praise Celebrates Ribbon Cutting - May 2016

In April, Regional Builders completed a 2,400 square foot Sanctuary addition along with renovations to the existing building for Immanuel House of Praise. RBI staff joined the church in celebrating a ribbon cutting in May. In the picture, Pastor Carlton and Lady Angela Bowers are joined by RBI's Vice President of Field Construction, Barry Neal, RBI Project Manager Alan Dail, Jack Riddle from Community Bank Delaware, City of Seaford Mayor David Genshaw and parishoners of Immanuel House of Praise.
 



RBI Employee Recognized for Service Years - December 2015

Barry Neal, RBI's Vice President of Field Operations, presented Esteban Casiano with a 3-year service pin at the company's annual Christmas party. Casiano works on the steel erection crew.
 



RBI Erection Crew Member Becomes a Citizen! - October 2015

Regional Builders, Inc. is pleased to announce that erection crew member Ricardo Vega became a United States citizen on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Ricky has been working for RBI since 2007 and is originally from El Salvador.
 



Solid Rock to Hold Ribbon Cutting - June 2015

Solid Rock Baptist Church will hold their official ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 17 at Noon. Regional Builders, Inc. recently completed construction of their 4,200 square foot community outreach center.
 



Regional Builders Presents Check to Blades VFC - June 2015

Following a ground breaking ceremony for the new Blades Volunteer Fire Company building, Regional Builders made a special presentation. RBI Vice President of Field Construction, Barry Neal presented a check for $10,234 to Blades VFC president, Todd Reilly. RBI raised the money by holding the Blades VFC Golf Tournament on May 22.
 



Blades VFC Breaks Ground on New Building - June 2015

The dreary weather did not dampen the spirits of Blades Volunteer Fire Company members as they gathered to break ground on their new facility on June 3. A light mist was falling as BVFC president, Todd Reilly welcomed members and guests to the ceremony. Special guests included State House Minority Leader Danny Short and Sussex County Council president, Michael Vincent. After a few quick words, the RBI gold shovels were digging and the ground breaking was official. Afterwards, Guests gathered inside the current building's banquet hall for refreshments.
 



Body & Soul Celebrates Opening with Ribbon Cutting - May 2015

Body & Soul Fitness Center celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting. Regional Builders renovated space in a shopping center that had been vacant for years. The gym features special turf and rubber flooring, saunas, and preparations for the future addition of a cafe and juice bar.
 



Blades VFC Golf Tournament a Success! - May 2015

Sunny skies and warm temperatures made for a great day for the Blades Volunteer Fire Company Golf Tournament held on May 22, 2015. Everyone had a great time, especially at the hole-in-one contest, where the prize was a Harley Davidson motorcycle worth $25,000. Unfortunately, nobody took home the bike, but there were a lot of winners that day.

RBI Plans Benefit Golf Tournament for Local Fire Department - March 2015

The staff at Regional Builders, Inc. has been hard at work planning a golf tournament to benefit the Blades Volunteer Fire Company in Blades, Delaware. The Tournament will be held on May 22, 2015 at the Hoopers Landing Golf Course in Seaford. Special prizes will be awarded for Closest to the Pin, Putting Contest, Men's and Women's Longest Drive, and Straightest Drive. The Hole in One prize will be a Harley Davidson Motorcycle from Rommel Harley Davidson valued at $25,000! RBI Recognized on National Calendar - December 2014

Regional Builders, Inc. was recognized for two projects on the Nucor Building Systems 2015 calendar. Each year, Nucor selects outstanding Nucor Building projects from the entire nation to feature on its calendar. Regional Builders is proud to have TWO of its projects included in the 40 that were selected this year: The Kaputa Dental Building located in Salisbury, Maryland and Sussex Pain Relief Center located in Georgetown, Delaware.
 



DCHS Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - December 2014

Delmarva Christian High School held its ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Athletic and Arts Center on December 10th. Regional Builders, Inc. constructed the 27,000 square foot building which features Aacer Scissor Loc II flooring system for the gymnasium and Aacer Cush I Plus flooring system for the stage. Tectum Noise Control panels are another special feature.
 



RBI Celebrates Christmas - December 2014

Regional Builders, Inc. employees gathered to celebrate Christmas at the annual Christmas Luncheon on December 5th. Paired off into randomly drawn teams, they competed in the second annual company Cornhole Tournament. The first place team was Barry Neal, Vice President of Field Operations and Terry Wilkerson, Senior Project Manager. CEO, Bob Boyd, presented a 10-Year Service Pin to Terry Wilkerson. The party ended with a spirited game of Chinese Gift Exchange, where Esteban Casiano, a member of the erection crew, seemed to lose his gift every turn, but somehow ended up with the one he wanted.
 



First Annual Turkey Trot to be Held in Seaford - November 2014

Body & Soul Fitness and Spa and Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition are sponsoring the 1st Annual Turkey Trot 5k Run & Walk in Seaford, Delaware on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014. Registration begins at 8:00AM and the Run/Walk begins at 9:00 at the West Seaford Elementary School. The route is two laps around Hoopers Landing Golf Course (the old Seaford Country Club). Registration is $20 until November 20th, and $25 after and on event day. Post race festivities include awards for all age groups and light snacks. Regional Builders Receives Awards - July 2014

Jason Ewart from Nucor Building Systems recently visited Regional Builders, Inc. to deliver several awards. First was a 2014 Photo Gallery Selection award. A photo of the La Red Health Center in Georgetown, Delaware, constructed by Regional Builders, Inc. was selected for Nucor's 2014 calendar. The second award was a 2013 Sales Achievement Award. The final award was the One Million Dollars Cumulative Sales Performance Award, which was achieved early in 2013.
 



RBI Staffers Attend Leadership Seminar - May 2014

Two Regional Builders, Inc. staff members attended the Leadercast event hosted by Trinity Logistics at Crossroads Community Church in Georgetown, Delaware. Joan Neal, President, and Kim Wheatley, Corporate Secretary of RBI attended Leadercast Live, a one-day event broadcast live from Atlanta to hundreds of locations around the world. Leadercast is focused on building Leaders Worth Following in our commuities, businesses, organizations and in homes across the world. Speakers inlcuded former first lady Laura Bush, Dr. Henry Cloud, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and many others.
 



Sussex Pain Management Hosts Ribbon Cutting - May 2014

Dr. Manonmani Antony and Staff celebrated the opening of their new office with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Located on Route 113 near Georgetown, the building is eye-catching with it's Texas Longhorns Orange Roof in homage to Dr. Antony's alma mater. The nearly 8,000 square foot building features rich wall colors, stained woods and granite surfaces. The sinks are outfitted with electronic hands-free faucets. Aside from the exam room area, the office includes a procedure room and multi-patient recovery room and a physical therapy suite.
 



Solid Rock Breaks Ground on Community Center - May 2014

Solid Rock Baptist Church held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new community outreach center on Sunday, May 4. The church selected Regional Builders as their project manager to walk them through the construction process. Located at 113 N. West Street, the building will be 4,200 square foot, which will provide recreational programs for youth and classrooms for tutoring.
 



Young Life Donation - February 2014

Soroptimist International of Seaford, recently supported Nanticoke Young Life with a donation to assist the organization with their goal of making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents in the community. The leaders and teens meet weekly at the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club to forge relationships, learn respect and make an impact in their lives. RBI Service Awards - December 2013

Bob Boyd, CEO of Regional Builders, Inc. presented service awards to employees at the annual RBI luncheon. Esteban Casiano, RBI's newest employee and a member of the steel erection crew, received a 1 year service pin (pictured). Other pins were awarded to: Teresa McVicker, Construction Administrator, 5 years; Barry Neal, Vice President of Field Operations, 10 years; and Joan Neal, President, 15 years.
 



RBI Christmas Luncheon - December 2013

Regional Builders, Inc. gave its annual Christmas Luncheon a new twist this year by holding it in the shop at 100 Park Avenue. There was stiff competition in the Cornhole Tournament, with Alan Dail (RBI project manager) and Esteban Casiano (RBI erection crew), edging out Kathy Boyd (wife of RBI CEO, Bob Boyd) and Megan Neal (daughter of RBI's Barry and Joan Neal). Gifts were exchanged, there was a great meal, and RBI President Bob Boyd presented service awards.
 



Christmas Fun! - December 2013

Several members of the Regional Builders, Inc. staff attended the Christmas Party of their client, Sussex Pain Relief Center. Held at the Marvel Carriage Museum in Georgetown, Delaware, the party was filled with food, fellowship and fun. Games were a highlight of the evening. The photo at right shows RBI's Vice President of Field Operations, Barry Neal, being covered with various Christmas decorations.
